Cygnus Spacecraft Encapsulated in Payload Fairing ahead of ISS CRS-2 Flight


The next American Cygnus Spacecraft to launch to the International Space Station was encapsulated into it’s payload fairing on July 8th 2014 at the Horizontal Integration Facility at Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. The payload fairing protects the spacecraft during the initial portion of the launch. Cygnus is due to launch more than 3,000 pounds of supplies to the ISS on July 13th 2014.
