New Website Coming - 4th June 2018

It will be 7 years on March 13th since we launched SpaceVids back in 2011 and 5 years since the launch of the website - Since then the website has outgrown the Space sector and is in dire need of an upgrade. To mark the 5th anniversary we will be launching a brand new stunning website on April 2nd June 4th 2018, The new website will have all of the same videos along with historical data in a fully responsive view.

We have pushed launch back into June by a month to allow us to ensure the historical videos are all imported properly.

SpaceX successfully launched their fifth Falcon 9 rocket carrying the third Dragon Spacecraft to the International Space Station on CRS-2 for NASA on March 1st 2013 at 15:10 UTC.

The Dragon Spacecraft is carrying 677kg of cargo up to the International Space Station and will bring back home 1370kg of cargo. The Dragon also brings two Heat Rejection Subsystem Grapple Fixtures which are the very first external cargo to be brought to the ISS in Dragon's trunk.

Immediately after Dragon separation a problem occurred with the thruster pods which delayed solar array deployment, SpaceX managed to activate the pods and the solar arrays were deployed at around 16:50 UTC.
