New Website Coming - 4th June 2018

It will be 7 years on March 13th since we launched SpaceVids back in 2011 and 5 years since the launch of the website - Since then the website has outgrown the Space sector and is in dire need of an upgrade. To mark the 5th anniversary we will be launching a brand new stunning website on April 2nd June 4th 2018, The new website will have all of the same videos along with historical data in a fully responsive view.

We have pushed launch back into June by a month to allow us to ensure the historical videos are all imported properly.

Launch of 75th Ariane 5 with MEASAT-3b & Optus 10

A European Ariane 5 rocket blasted off from Kourou in French Guiana today, September 11th 2014 at 22:05 UTC. The 75th flight of the Ariane 5 carried MEASAT 3b for Malaysia and Optus 10 for Australia satellites into orbit. Launch was delayed about 45 minutes due to some technical issues at the pad.

MEASAT 3b will be positioned at 91.5 degrees east and has 48 Ku-band transponders for Malaysia, Indonesia and India. Optus 10 will be positioned at 164 degrees east and has 24 Ku-band transponders for broadcast services to households in Australia and New Zealand.
