Launch of Final Delta II Rocket with ICESat-2 for NASA

United Launch Alliance have successfully launched the final ever Delta II rocket today at 13:02 UTC, September 15th 2018 from SLC-2W at Vandenberg Air Force Base. The rocket carried the ICESat-2 satellite for NASA.
ICESat-2 (Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite 2), part of NASA’s Earth Observing System, is a planned satellite mission for measuring ice sheet elevation and sea ice freeboard, as well as land topography and vegetation characteristics.
