Ariane 5 Launch Aborted after Main Engine Ignition


In a rare launch pad abort for Ariane, the VA239 mission was aborted automatically after main engine ignition but before ignition of the two solid rocket motors.

Liftoff was scheduled for 21:51 UTC from French Guiana to carry Intelsat 37e and BSAT-4a. Launcher teams are investigating.
