Launch of Manned Soyuz TMA-08M to ISS, Docking Later Tonight


For the first time in International Space Station history a manned Soyuz has launched from Baikonur on a fast rendezvous enabling a docking between the two vehicles in around 6 hours time at 02:32 UTC.

The Soyuz TMA-08M blasted off from Baikonur at 08:43 UTC on March 28th 2013 on a Soyuz-FG rocket. The vehicle carries Russian Cosmonauts Pavel Vinogradov and Aleksandr Misurkin as well as NASA Astronaut Christopher Cassidy.
