Launch of SpaceX Falcon 9 with EchoStar 23 from Kennedy Space Center

SpaceX has successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Pad 39A of Kennedy Space Center carrying the EchoStar 23 communications satellite into geosychronous transfer orbit. Liftoff occurred at 06:00 UTC, March 16th 2017 on Spacex’s third flight of the year, the 2nd from KSC.

Due to mission requirements this rocket did not perform a landing and the first stage was expended in the Atlantic Ocean.
