PMA-3 Relocated ahead of Commercial Crewed Vehicles (Timelapse)

The Pressurised Mating Adapter number 3 was moved from it’s Node 3 port to the Node 2 Zenith port on the International Space Station this evening, March 26th 2017.

The move allows an International Docking Adapter to be installed so future crewed vehicles built in America by commercial companies can dock to the ISS. PMA-3 in it’s location on Node 3 didn’t have sufficient clearance with Station structure to allow for dockings.
