Status

A Russian Proton-M rocket for ILS launched the Yamal-402 satellite from Baikonur. Yamal-402 will provide coverage of Europe, Russia and Asia.

The craft has 46 Ku-band transponders and will has an operational life of 15 years.

Launch occurred at 13:13 UTC on December 8th 2012. The final Breeze-M burn ended early, resulting in the satellite being placed in a lower than planned orbit.
