New Website Coming - 4th June 2018

It will be 7 years on March 13th since we launched SpaceVids back in 2011 and 5 years since the launch of the website - Since then the website has outgrown the Space sector and is in dire need of an upgrade. To mark the 5th anniversary we will be launching a brand new stunning website on April 2nd June 4th 2018, The new website will have all of the same videos along with historical data in a fully responsive view.

We have pushed launch back into June by a month to allow us to ensure the historical videos are all imported properly.

Mission: PSLV – Saral

Launch Successful


An Indian PSLV rocket successfully launched the Saral payload into orbit on its 23rd flight from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on February 25th 2013 at 12:26 UTC. The rocket also carried six commercial secondary payloads.

The 409kg Saral is a joint ISRO (Indian) and CNES (France) satellite to study the oceans of Earth.

Two of the secondary payloads are from Canada, the 148kg 'SAPPHIRE' and the 74kg 'NEOSSat'. Austria is launching two satellites at 14kg each called 'NLS 8.1' and 'NLS 8.2'. Denmark is also launching 'NLS 8.3' weighing 3kg. The 6th secondary payload is a UK satellite called 'STRaND-1' and weighs 6.5kg.
